Woodland Hills is a district in the city of Los Angeles, California. Woodland Hills is located in the southwestern area of the San Fernando Valley, east of Calabasas and west of Tarzana, with Warner Center in its northern section. On the north Woodland Hills is bordered by West Hills, Canoga Park, and Winnetka, and on the south by Topanga and Malibu, California.

Actress Elsa Lanchester, famous for her portrayal of the Bride in James Whale's The Bride of Frankenstein passed away in Woodland Hills on December 26th, 1986.

Director Jack Arnold, who earned himself a place in sci-fi/horror history for his legendary work on the 1954 monster movie Creature from the Black Lagoon and it's 1955 sequel, Revenge of the Creature, passed away in Woodland Hills on March 17th, 1992 at the age of 75.

Actress Sara Paxton, who would go on to star in such films as The Last House on the Left, Return to Halloweentown, The Innkeepers and Shark Night 3D was born in Woodland Hills on April 25th, 1988.
