Tyler Hoechlin is an American actor born in Corona, California on September 11th, 1987. His first professional acting work was in the 1999 Duane Clark family drama Family Tree where at 12-years-old, he played the role of Jeff Jo. Tyler came to prominence with his portrayal of Michael Sullivan, Jr. in the 2002 gangster film Road to Perdition. From 2003 to 2007, Tyler had a recurring role on the ABC Family TV series 7th Heaven playing Martin Brewer.
In 2007, Tyler Hoechlin played Wes Hardin in the nature/horror film Grizzly Rage.
In 2011, Tyler became a series regular on the Teen Wolf television series on MTV. He played the role of werewolf mentor Derek Hale.
