- The Wicker Tree premiered at the Fantasy Film Festival on July 19th, 2011. It's official UK release date was August 27th, 2011.
- Robin Hardy also directed the [[1973] film The Wicker Man. Although the two movies share a similar title and themes, they are otherwise unrelated.
- Actor Christopher Lee makes an appearance in the film as an old gentleman. Lee also played the lead role of Lord Summerisle in The Wicker Man.
