The Violent Kind is an independent American horror film of the psycho-thriller and supernatural thriller subgenres. It was directed by Mitchell Altieri and Phil Flores and written by Altieri, Flores under the collective name of "The Butcher Brothers". Adam Weis also contributed writing credits to the story. The movie was produced by San Francisco Independent Cinema and premiered at the Sundance Film Festival on January 25th, 2010. The film stars Cory Knauf and Bret Roberts as young bikers Cody and Q with Taylor Cole as girlfriend Shade as well as Christina Prousalis as Megan, Tiffany Shepis as Michelle and Nick Tagas as Elroy. The movie follows the journey of Cody and Q as they evade the law and turn up at a biker rally in Northern California. As things get rowdy, they find themselves the targets of a mysterious ghostly biker gang from the 1950s.
