The People Under the Stairs is an American horror film of the psycho-thriller subgenre. It was written and directed by A Nightmare on Elm Street creator Wes Craven and produced by Universal Pictures. The People Under the Stairs was released theatrically in the United States on November 1st, 1991. The film stars Brandon Quintin Adams, Everett McGill, Wendy Robie, A.J. Langer, Ving Rhames and Sean Whalen.
