Synopsis[]

Kate Argent is in a gas station struggling to control her transformation. A station attendant barges in and she slaughters him.

Back in Beacon Hills, Scott and Stiles bring a de-aged Derek Hale to the Beacon Hills Animal Clinic. Doctor Alan Deaton wants to keep him for observation, but admits that he has no idea what to expect from him. Scott and Stiles leave the clinic with Derek in the care of Deaton and Lydia Martin. Derek awakens and freaks out, slashing Deaton across the arm.

Scott returns home and finds his father, Rafael McCall, sleeping on the couch after having spent the day doing minor repair work at the house. Rafael awakens and mentions how Scott missed their dinner appointment. Scott promises to make up for it.

The following day, the confused Derek Hale returns to the one place he is familiar with - home. Unfortunately, his family's manor is now just a pile of rubble. Deputies Jordan Parrish and Haigh find him and arrest him for trespassing. They bring him back to the station, but when they run his prints, all they get back is information about Derek Hale. Sheriff Stilinski stares long and hard at the boy, and comes to the conclusion on his own that this actually is Derek.

Scott and Stiles arrive at the police station. The sheriff panics at the thought that the boys may now possibly be time traveling. Stiles corrects him, but the ultimate truth about how they came to find young Derek is no less bizarre. Scott has to take off, leaving Stiles in charge of watching over Derek.

Stiles brings Derek to Scott's house later that evening, since Scott is the only person that Derek is willing to talk to. Scott isn't home yet, but Rafael invites the boys in and offer them food. Stiles introduces Derek as his cousin "Miguel".

Meanwhile, Lydia and Kira end up at the gas station and find the ruined remains of the gas station attendant. She takes a photo of the crime scene and sends it to Scott.

Later, Scott is with Malia Tate and they go to Peter Hale's house. Scott is nervous because he knows that he should reveal the truth to Malia that Peter is her father, but he instead says nothing. As Scott and Peter talk about recent events involving Derek, they conclude that Kate Argent is responsible for Derek's condition and that she de-aged him to gain his trust so that he could lead her to the Hale family vault. Scott immediately calls Stiles and tells him to make sure that Derek stays at the house. It's too late however, as Kate has found him and has convinced him to run off with her.

Kate convinces Derek to take her to the Hale family vault. The entrance to the vault is beneath the sign leading into Beacon Hills High School. Derek brings her down into the vault where they find the Triskelion.

Peter, Scott and Malia are on the move to intercept them, but they are now faced with a new threat - Berserkers. Berserkers are large humanoids who wear animal skull masks and are engines of pure rage. Scott and Malia are ready to fight, but Peter flees - recognizing that they do not have the power to stop such creatures. Kira shows up to help out her friends, but even she doesn't stand along against the Berserkers.

Peter reaches the vault and confronts Kate. The two face off against one another, but before anyone can act, two smoke grenades bounce down into the vault. Peter is temporarily blinded by the smoke, and Kate retreats summoning her Berserkers to fall back. In the smoky haze, an unidentified individual walks into the vault, steps up to a very specific chamber and retrieves a case, then leaves.

When Peter gets his wits together, he realizes that the thief had stolen 117 million dollars worth of bearer bonds that he had hidden away.

Allusions[]

  • The title of this episode is a reference to the monetary value of the bearer bonds that are stolen from Peter Hale at the Hale Vault. In this case: 117 million dollars. Stiles Stilinski also makes reference to this number in "Muted" when he tells Scott McCall "We have 117 million problems..."

Quotes[]

  • Sheriff Stilinski: I want you to be honest with me. Totally and completely honest. Have you been time traveling?
  • Stiles Stilinski: Hang on, what?
  • Sheriff Stilinski: Because if time traveling is real, I'm done, I'm out. You're going to be driving me to Eichen House.
  • Scott McCall: We found him like that.
  • Sheriff Stilinski: Where? Swimming in the fountain of youth?
  • Stiles Stilinski: No. We found him buried in a tomb of wolfsbane in an Azetec temple in Mexico underneath a church in the middle of a town that was destroyed by an earthquake.

....

....

  • Scott McCall: This is Malia.
  • Peter Hale: Beautiful eyes. Did you get them from your father?
  • Malia Tate: Mother.
  • Peter Hale: Interesting. Anyway, I'm sure they told you a lot about me.
  • Malia Tate: The homicidal killing spree came up.
  • Peter Hale: Well, we're all works in progress.
  • Malia Tate: Well, when you progress to your next killing spree, why don't you try and make sure they all stay dead?

....

  • Scott McCall: What do you know about people being turned by a scratch?
  • Peter Hale: Did you scratch someone, Scott? Don't worry about it, the claws have to go pretty deep.
  • Scott McCall: But it's possible. Like if you clawed out someone's throat?
  • Peter Hale: Well, yeah, it's possible. It's also beyond rare. We're talking one in a... million.

....

  • Peter Hale: Quite the elaborate scheme you have here, Kate. Two countries, Aztec temples, Derek returned to a teenager. One that trusted you. One that loved you. All this complication just to gain access to our vault. Just to get your hands on that little piece of junk. Turn it over. Go ahead. There's a scrape on the back where it used to say "Made in China."
  • Kate Argent: You're lying!
  • Peter Hale: I admit I have a tendency to exaggerate things. But in this case the truth is so much more fun. Oh, I'm sorry, sweetheart, that little pendant is just a physical object to focus on. It's training wheels. Talia used it to teach Laura. I tried to use it to teach Derek.
