True Blood 4x03 004

TBBN is a fictional news station featured on the HBO television series True Blood. It has made sporadic appearances on the series and was first seen in the season one episode, "The First Taste". TBBN is a cable news network that presumably broadcasts across the nation. It has an affiliate station that broadcasts to Renard Parish, Louisiana.

In 2008, Sharon Tay moderated a heated televised debate between the devout Reverend Theodore Newlin and Nan Flanagan, the spokeswoman for the American Vampire League (AVL). The subject of the special was the AVL's efforts to secure equal rights for vampires. Newlin stated that his commitment to Jesus would not allow him to even speak directly to a vampire. Sharon plainly stated that this would it very difficult to maintain a dialogue, but Newlin was unflappable. (TB: The First Taste)

Hoyt Fortenberry watched a TBBN broadcast featured U.S. Representative Charles Bunn. Bunn decryed the actions of the American Vampire League and its spokesperson, Nan Flanagan. This anti-vampire hysteria bloomed in the wake of Russell Edgington murdering a news anchor on live television. Bunn also reminded viewers how the Reverend Steve Newlin had been missing for over six months. (TB: If You Love Me, Why Am I Dyin'?)
