"I Believe the Children Are Our Future" is the sixth episode of season five of the paranormal drama series Supernatural and the eighty-eighth episode of the series overall. The episode was directed by Charles Beeson and written by Andrew Dabb and Daniel Loflin. The series stars Jared Padalecki as Sam Winchester and Jensen Ackles as his brother, Dean Winchester. Allusions Edit

  • The title of this episode, "I Believe the Children Are Our Future", is taken from a lyric from the 1977 song by George Benson called The Greatest Love of All. The song was later popularized by Whitney Houston and appeared on her 1984 self-titled album. The lyric is taken from the opening verse of the song which is, "I believe the children are our future. Teach them well and let them lead the way. Show them all the beauty they possess inside.
