Stephen Carpenter is a film and television director and writer. He is sometimes credited as Steve Carpenter. Stephen's first film work was directing the 1982 horror film The Dorm That Dripped Blood, which he co-directed along with Jeffrey Obrow. He also directed The Power, The Kindred and Soul Survivors, which he also wrote. Stephen Carpenter is the co-creator of the 2011 supernatural fantasy series Grimm, along with Jim Kouf.

  • Stephen Carpenter is not to be confused with the guitarist from the Deftones who shares the same name. That Stephen Carpenter appeared in the 1996 film The Crow: City of Angels, along with his band mates.
