Severed nose

A severed nose is nothing to sneeze at! Especially because if you did, your boogies would go everywhere. Quite simply, this is what happens when somebody decides to cut your shnozz off. Some people elect to have this done as a surgical procedure, which is called Rhinoplasty. In fiction, severed noses usually appear in the action and horror genres, and occasionally in the comedy genre. Surprisingly, having one's nose cut off, even if its to spite your face, is not necessarily a fatal injury. You can live without a nose, but you would look damn silly.

In film

• Freddy vs. Jason: Teenager Kia Waterson had considered getting a nose job. While perusing a magazine about Rhinoplasty in a doctor's office, she dozed off and that's when good ole dream demon Freddy Krueger came a'callin. Manifesting from within the pages of the magazine itself, Freddy extended two of his razor claws into Kia's nostrils and ripped her nose off. Immediately following, Kia awakened from the dream.
