W. Scott Darling was a Canadian film screewriter born in Toronto, Ontario on May 28th, 1898. He was active during the silent film era up until his untimely drowning death in 1951.

In 1942, W. Scott Darling wrote the screenplay for the Universal Pictures film The Ghost of Frankenstein. In 1944, he wrote the screen adaptation of the Fritz Lieber novel Conjure Wife, which was produced as Weird Woman by director Reginald Le Borg.
