Richard Carruthers is a minor character featured in the Halloween film series. Played by actor Jeff Olson, he appeared in the 1988 film, Halloween 4: The Return of Michael Myers.
Biography[]
Richard Carruthers was a businessman who lived in Haddonfield, Illinois. He was the husband of Darlene Carruthers and had a daughter named Rachel Carruthers. Richard and Darlene were the foster parents of Jamie Lloyd.
On October 31st, 1988, Richard and Darlene attended a business function, which left Rachel stuck at home to look after Jamie. They returned that evening to discover that Rachel and Jamie had been terrorized by Jamie's biological uncle, Michael Myers. Jamie suffered a psychotic break and murdered Darlene Carruthers.
