Rasche is a fictional law-enforcement officer and a supporting character in the Predator multimedia franchise. He appeared in the first Predator comic book series by Dark Horse Comics.
Overview[]
Rasche is a police detective for the New York City Police Department. Along with his partner, Schaefer, he investigated a string of brutal gangland murders of members of the Colombian drug cartels. These murders were actually committed by an alien hunter known as a Predator.
Appearance[]
Rasche was a man in his apparent forties with a brown receding hairline and a thick mustache. In many ways, he represented the stereotypical image of a seasoned New York Cop. Think Dennis Franz from NYPD Blue, but with a better attitude.
Notes & Trivia[]
- The character of Rasche was created by writer Mark Verheiden and artists Chris Warner and Sam de la Rosa based on concepts originally developed by Jim Thomas and John Thomas.
- Rasche's first name is not provided in the comic book series and remains unknown.
- Due to Schaefer and Rasche's unorthodox methods of dealing with crime cartels, they were both transferred to M-Squad. [1]
