Python is an American horror movie of the predatory animal subgenre. It was released as a made-for-TV film and directed by Richard Clabaugh, most noted for his cinematography work on films such as Prophecy, Prophecy II and Children of the Corn IV: The Gathering. It premiered as a television movie in the UK on December 9th, 2000. It was first released on home video in the United States on January 16th, 2001. It was produced by Unified Film Organization (UFO) and Python Productions, LLC. It was distributed to the home video market by 20th Century Fox Home Entertainment. The plot of the film takes place in a small Midwestern American town. Following the crash of a military aircraft that releases a sixty-foot hungry python, several of the town's locals must work together to destroy the animal as it wreaks havoc, consuming all it sees.
