"The Portents" is the seventeenth episode of season four of the supernatural drama series Poltergeist: The Legacy, and the eighty-third episode of the series overall. It was directed by series star Derek de Lint with a script written by Jonas Quastel. It first aired on the Sci-Fi Channel on Friday, September 17th, 1999 at 8:00 pm. In this episode, Rachel Corrigan and Alexandra Moreau learn about the death of a young monk, which leads them into a mystery concerning a false priest who attempts to open a gateway to Hell underneath the Legacy House.
Because Derek de Lint is busy directing this episode, his character, Derek Rayne, does not make an appearance.
