The Mole People were a race of underground mutants that originated in Mesopotamia. Ages ago, a group of humanoids took to living below ground where they became albinos. They enslaved the Mole People, forcing them to farm for them. The Mole People harvested mushrooms, as that was the only source of nutrients they could cultivate without direct sunlight.
