Michael Joseph was a British literary publisher and writer. He was born in England on September 26th, 1897. Michael Joseph published the 1957 science fiction novel The Midwich Cuckoos by John Wyndham. The novel was later adapted into a film in 1960 by Wolf Rilla entitled Village of the Damned and was remade as an American film in 1995 by John Carpenter, also titled Village of the Damned. Michael Joseph passed away on March 15th, 1958.
