Roles: Actress
Date of birth: December 18th, 1953
Place of birth: Holyoke, Massachusetts
1st Horror: Friday the 13th: A New Beginning (1985)

Melanie Kinnaman is a stage, film and television actress. She was born in Holyoke, Massachusetts on December 18th, 1953. Melanie has only appeared in one horror film and that was the 1985 slasher movie Friday the 13th: A New Beginning where she played Pinehurst Youth Development Center administrator Pam Roberts.

The character's fate at the end of the film is left deliberately ambiguous. The original intent of director Danny Steinmann was that Tommy Jarvis would inherit the psychotic mantle (and hockey mask) of late serial killer Jason Voorhees and become the new antagonist for the series going forward. Viewers however, disliked the notion of a Friday the 13th movie without Jason so any future plans to continue the franchise with Tommy as the killer were scrapped. If things had gone differently, Melanie would have been the female lead in Friday the 13th Part VI: Jason Lives.
