Mega Shark vs. Crocosaurus is an American sci-fi/horror film of the giant animal subgenre. It was directed by Christopher Ray and written by Naomi L. Selfman based on a story by Micho Rutare. The film was produced by The Asylum and released direct-to-video on December 21st, 2010. The film stars Gary Stretch, Jaleel White, Sarah Lieving, Robert Picardo, Gerald Webb and Dylan Vox.

  • Production on Mega Shark vs. Crocosaurus began on August 21st, 2010. Filmed in only thirteen days, principal filming wrapped on September 2nd, 2010. It was shot at Asylum Studios in Los Angeles, California. Location shots were filmed at Bronson Canyon in Griffith Park in Los Angeles.
  • The tagline for the film, "Whoever wins... we lose!" is not even remotely original. It was first used in the 2004 sci-fi monster-mash film Alien vs. Predator.
  • A reference to the 1982 Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan is made in this film. A female Naval officer named Khan is in command of a submarine called the USS Reliant. In Wrath of Khan, Khan Noonien Singh captures a Federation starship called the SS Reliant.
  • Nigel Putnam's final line in the movie, "I just got a call from Japan. Giant lizard", is a reference to Godzilla, the infamous mutant dinosaur from Toho's popular Japanese film series.
  • Actor Jaleel White is best known for playing the role of annoying nerd Steve Urkel on the television sitcom series Family Matters.
