Matt Reeves is an American film and television producer, director and screenwriter. He was born Matthew George Reeves in Rockville Center, New York on April 27th, 1966. His first professional film work was on the 1994 sci-fi/horror anthology movie Future Shock, where he wrote and directed a segment called "Mr. Petrified Forrest". In 2008 he directed the cult hit Cloverfield, which featured a giant monster rampaging through the heart of Manhattan. Reeves also provided director's audio commentary on the Cloverfield DVD. In 2010, he directed and co-wrote the screenplay for Let Me In a romantic horror vampire film and a remake of the 2008 Swedish film Let the Right One In, directed by Tomas Alfredson.
