Mary Rocco played the role of the Operator in the 1980 slasher film Friday the 13th. Rocco made a behind-the-scenes apperance only. In the scene, the police dispatch operator radioed Sergeant Tierney about a vehicle accident on Mile Marker 17 with possible fatalities, indicating the possible requirement of the Jaws of Life. Tierney, who had been driving Steve Christy back to Camp Crystal Lake at the time, responded to the call after dropping Christy off at the campground.
