Mark A.Z. Dippé is an American filmmaker born in Alaska in 1958. He is co-founder of the Animation Picture Company. Mark worked as a visual effects supervisor at ILM and worked on several well-known action and sci-fi features including The Abyss, Back to the Future Part II and Terminator II: Judgment Day. In 1993, Mark was a visual supervisor on Steven Spielberg's blockbuster dinosaur thriller Jurassic Park.

Mark A.Z. Dippé made his directorial debut in 1997 with Spawn, a feature length adaptation of the popular comic book series created by Todd McFarlane and published by Image Comics.

In 2004, Mark directed the children's feature Halloweentown High. That same year, he helmed the television movie Frankenfish, which was one of numerous such "killer fish" movies that were broadcast regularly on the Syfy channel.
