That don' make no sense![]
Regardless of the inequity visited upon Matt Cordell resulting in his incarceration and subsequent demise, there is no way he would be given a full honors funeral. The guy just Terminatored an entire police station and a prison, killing dozens of innocent police officers.
Throwing a car into neutral doesn't mean that it automatically accelerates to 90. There is no rational reason why Susan Riley (handcuffed to the outside of a car door) would go mad-zipping through the streets of New York with no one applying pressure to the gas pedal.
Serial killers don't hang out with other serial killers. It simply doesn't happen. Their psychopathy prevents them from forming genuine relationships and the thought of Turkell suddenly becoming a Maniac Cop fan boy is, while highly amusing, also very unlikely.
Cordell walks through multiple closed doors, smashing through wood and glass. Not once does his police hat ever fall off. As Harry Morgan from M*A*S*H would say, "Horse-feathers!"
