Alfonso Warner[]

Alfonso Warner 002

Alfonso Warner was a Caucasian male who appeared to be in his early-mid thirties. He was a military commando and a member of the Umbrella Security Service division of the Umbrella Corporation, based out of a Raccoon City.

In 2002, the Umbrella Corporation responded to a crisis at their underground research facility, the Hive. The team's mission was to deactivate the facility's artificial intelligence, the Red Queen, which had gone "homicidal" and had killed everyone at the laboratory. The group was not provided information relating to the true nature of the Red Queen's actions, in that it was trying to quarantine a deadly outbreak of the T-Virus.

Alfonso Warner and his unit broke into the safe house mansion occupied by fellow security specialists Alice Abernathy and Spence Parks. They found Alice, who had been suffering from amnesia. They also apprehended a man named Matt Addison, who claimed to have worked for the Raccoon City Police Department.

The team went underground and boarded a train that took them to the Hive. They made their way to the Red Queen Chamber armed with equipment designed to shut down all of its systems. As the crew began setting up their equipment, the Red Queen sealed off each end of a corridor, cutting Warner and the others off from Alice as well as the team's tech specialist, Chad Kaplan.

Commando Alfonso Warner was the first to take note of the laser defense grid that the Red Queen activated. A horizontal beam traveled down the length of the corridor. Commander James Shade pushed another commando named Vance Drew out of the way, but the laser still managed to cut off his fingers. A second beam came down the hall and Alfonso Warner tried jumping to avoid it. The beam changed direction, catching him right in the mid-section, slicing him in half.

Alice[]

Alice - Resident Evil 002

Alice Abernathy was a member of the Central Security Administration division of the Umbrella Corporation, based out of Raccoon City. Aware of the company's more unscrupulous activities, Alice sought to expose their activities to the mass media. To accomplish this, she conspired with a research scientist named Lisa Addison, who worked at an underground complex known as the Hive, who was involved in the creation of a biological agent known as the T-Virus.

As part of her professional identity, she was placed in charge of Hive's residential access-way, which was a mansion located over top of the Hive utility and transit corridors. The Umbrella Corporation established a fake marriage between she and another security agent named Spence Parks, but as things turned out, the two actually became romantically involved with one another.

Spence learned about Alice's secret plot to expose Umbrella, so he used his own access cards to breach the laboratory facility and steal a sample of the T-Virus, which he intended on selling on the black market for an astronomical sum. To cover his tracks, Spence released another sample inside the laboratory, forcing the site's artificial intelligence, the Red Queen, to lock everything down. After sealing off the infected areas, the Red Queen then released a nerve agent throughout the remainder of the facility, including the mansion, which rendered both Alice and Spence unconscious. A side-effect of the nerve toxin caused temporary loss of memory. Alice came to in the shower with no knowledge of who she was, or her involvement with Umbrella.

A commando response team raided the mansion and took Alice along with them, as well as another man they found inside the building named Matt Addison. The group descended the secret levels into the Hive, only to find that the T-Virus had turned all of the trapped personnel into zombies. Along the way, the group also met up with Spence Parks. As they fought their way through hordes of the undead, Alice's memories slowly began to return to her. She recalled her false marriage to Spence as well as her secret dealings to expose Umbrella.

Alice's training as a security agent save her life numerous times, as she took down numerous zombies as well as a pack of wild undead Dobermans. They made their way into the laboratories where they recovered samples of the antivirus, losing several of their numbers along the way. A commando named Rain Ocampo was infected and was eventually put down. Other commandos also lost their lives, either to zombie infection, or by the sites's automated defense systems.

After fighting their way past a mutant creature called a licker, Alice and Matt managed to bring the antivirus back aboard the train and into the mansion. At which point, Umbrella agents wearing Hazmat suits took them away. Alice was brought to the Raccoon City hospital, where she awakened win a cold, sterile room with wires attached to her head. Making her way outside, she stood horrified as she came to realize that the virus had gotten out and that all of Raccoon City was now in utter ruins from the zombie outbreak.

Anna Bolt[]

Doctor Green - Resident Evil

Anna Bolt, also known as Doctor Green, was a 28-year-old female employee of the Umbrella Corporation with blonde hair. She worked at the top-secret underground facility known as the Hive, where she was a scientist in the facility's viral research department. She worked alongside Doctor Blue in Lab 13. When the T-Virus contagion was released inside the facility, The site's artificial intelligence, the Red Queen, put the entire site on lock down. Sprinkler systems flooded all of the laboratory areas. Doctor Green shouted at the surveillance cameras that there was no fire in the facility. Eventually, the entire laboratory was flooded and all of the staff members drowned. Exposed to the T-Virus, Doctor Green was resurrected as a flesh-eating zombie. The zombie Doctor Green was later released from the lab, where she attacked and bit Spence Parks - the man who originally released the T-Virus to begin with.

Black[]

Ms. Black - Resident Evil

Ms. Black was a (presumably) unmarried woman and an employee of the Umbrella Corporation. She worked at the top-secret underground facility known as the Hive, though her exact duties at this facility are unknown. Ms. Black, along with several others were trapped in Lift Shaft 168 when the T-Virus contagion broke out in the facility. The site's artificial intelligence, the Red Queen, put the entire facility on lock down, which involved shutting down the lift shafts. When the elevator car was caught between floors, Ms. Black attempted to pry her way through the doors. The lift started up again while she was only partially through, decapitating her.

Chad Kaplan[]

Chad Kaplan 002

Chad Kaplan was a Caucasian male with dark hair who appeared to be in his mid-thirties. He was a military commando and a tech specialist for the Umbrella Security Service division of the Umbrella Corporation, based out of a Raccoon City. He was part of the U.S.S. sanitation unit.

In September of 2002, the Umbrella Corporation responded to a crisis situation taking place at their underground research facility, the Hive. As the tech specialist for the unit, it was Kaplan's responsibility to assemble a device that would deliver an electromagnetic pulse to the Red Queen, shutting down its systems temporarily.

Kaplan and the other members of the team arrived at the safe house, Arklay Mansion, which was occupied by fellow security specialists Alice Abernathy and Spence Parks. They found Alice, who had been suffering from amnesia. They also apprehended a man named Matt Addison, who claimed to have worked for the Raccoon City Police Department.

The team took the Alexi-5000 train down through the lower levels into the Hive underground. While on the train, they found another amnesiac security agent named Spence Parks. Once inside the Hive, Kaplan used his computer wrist-display to navigate through the facility towards the Red Queen Chamber. As Kaplan began setting up his equipment, the Red Queen sealed off each end of a corridor, cutting Kaplan, Alice and several others off from the advance unit. When he noticed that the Red Queen had activated her defense systems, Kaplan labored to bypass the security codes to the corridor to get the rest of his team out. A laser grid swept through the corridor, cutting down each member of the group. Kaplan succeeded in opening the door, but he was too late to save four members of the group, which included two commandos, a medic and unit commander James Shade.

They finally got to the computer mainframe where Alice and he began assembling the EMP device. The Red Queen generated a holographic avatar of herself, imploring them to abandon this tactic. Kaplan warned the others that the Red Queen would lie and say anything to prevent them from shutting her down. Once the computer realized that they were not going to abandon their plan, she coldly warned them, "You are all going to die down here". After shutting her down, Kaplan removed the computer's mother board, preventing her from immediately rebooting.

Unfortunately, Kaplan's actions yielded disastrous results. The remaining members of the team, which consisted of Spence, Matt, Alice, and two commandos named Rain Ocampo and J.D. Salinas were inside Dining Hall B, which was actually a storage bay filled with containment pods for the Hive's Bio Organic Weapon (B.O.W.) specimens. Shutting down the systems, all shut down the power to the pods, making them unstable. This resulted in releasing one of the Hive's more monstrous mutations called a Licker.

Before even learning about the Licker however, the group faced more pressing problems. The release of the T-Virus turned all of the site's personnel into zombies. Waves of the undead began pouring into the dining hall and attacked the group. While the others fought for their lives, Kaplan worked to find the code to bypass the security locks on the doors. Upon doing so, they were able to get out of the immediate danger area, though J.D. Salinas lost his life at this time as he was overwhelmed by zombies.

The group tried escaping through a utility tunnel, but the lower levels were swarming with zombies. They climbed atop some pipes hanging from the ceiling, but the combined weight of the group was too much and the pipes began to collapse. Kaplan fell behind and was bitten by a zombie. He urged the group to continue on without him, citing that he would never be able to keep up. As Alice and the others crawled away through a shaft, Chad remained behind ready to meet his fate. At the last moment however, he decided that he wanted to live, and pushed his way into a ventilation shaft, shouting at the clawing zombies that they would "have to work for their meal".

He later caught up with the others and used his scientific expertise to free Alice, Matt and Rain from being sealed off in the Red Queen Chamber with the hungry Licker only seconds away from clawing its way inside. Things appeared hopeful for Kaplan as Alice revealed that there was an antivirus to the infection. Unfortunately, the antivirus was in the possession of Spence Parks, who had betrayed the group, and stolen the steel case containing the vials.

They made their way back to Loading Bay B where the train was stationed, only to find that Spence had now become a zombie. After Alice dispatched him, they boarded the train, and Kaplan drove it back towards the mansion. Unfortunately, the Licker had managed to climb aboard the outside of the Alexi-5000. Using its huge claws, it tore through the side of the train, grabbing Kaplan and throwing him outside to his doom. Whether Chad Kaplan survived this final assault or died on the train tracks remains unknown.

Clarence[]

Clarence - Resident Evil 001

Clarence was an African American male who appeared to be in his mid-thirties. He worked as a security guard for the Umbrella Corporation and was assigned to the top-secret underground facility known as the Hive. Amongst his other duties, Clarence also guarded over the dog kennels, which included at least eight Doberman Pincers. When the deadly T-Virus contagion was released in Lab 13, the site's artificial intelligence, the Red Queen, put the entire facility on lock down. The computer enacted fire safety protocols, flooding all the labs with water from the sprinklers. Clarence, as well as several researchers died. Infected with the T-Virus that had made its way through the air conditioning vents, he was resurrected as an undead flesh-eater. Five hours later, an Umbrella Security Service unit was dispatched to the Hive to sanitize the area and shut down the Red Queen. A security agent named Alice found her way into a room where she was attacked by Clarence. Alice spun about and kicked him squarely in the chest, which sent him reeling backwards into a shelf full of supplies, rendering the creature momentarily stunned. Alice then took Clarence's sidearm from its holster and ventured into the next room to confront the Dobermans, which had now likewise become zombies.

Grey[]

Mister Grey - Resident Evil

Mister Grey was a male employee of the Umbrella Corporation with brown hair who appeared to be in his early thirties. He worked at the top-secret underground facility known as the Hive, though his exact duties at this facility are unknown. When Spence Parks stole a sample of the deadly T-Virus from Lab 13, he rushed to get out of the facility. In his haste, he bumped into Mister Grey, spilling the man's coffee all over his shirt. Mister Grey was one of several internal office workers who was trapped inside of Lift Shaft 168 when the site's artificial intelligence, the Red Queen, put the facility on lock down. Mister Grey either died when the shaft collapsed or may have died as a result of exposure to the T-Virus and became one of the numerous undead flesh-eaters found stalking the Hive.

Gold[]

Ms. Gold - Resident Evil

Ms. Gold was a female employee of the Umbrella Corporation with strawberry blonde hair who appeared to be in her mid-twenties. She worked at the top-secret underground facility known as the Hive, though her exact duties at this facility are unknown. When the deadly T-Virus contagion was released, the site's artificial intelligence, the Red Queen, put the entire facility on lock down. All internal office areas were sealed off as halon gas containing high levels of nitrogen was pumped into each area. Ms. Gold was one of the first to rush up to the blast doors, a look of confusion upon her face, as she and another female co-worker began pounding for release. Gold died, and was thus exposed to the T-Virus, which resurrected him as a flesh-eating zombie.

J.D. Salinas[]

J.D. Salinas 002

J.D. Salinas was a dark-haired male soldier in his early thirties and was a military commando and a member of the Umbrella Security Service division of the Umbrella Corporation, based out of a Raccoon City.

J.D. Salinas and his unit broke into the safe house mansion occupied by fellow security specialists Alice Abernathy and Spence Parks.

The Red Queen activated a laser grid defense system that slaughtered four members of J.D.'s group, including the unit commander, James Shade.

Once they were able to bypass the security grid, they made their way to Dining hall B, which happened to double as a containment facility for the Hive's Bio Organic Weapons (B.O.W.s) projects. Rain Ocampo and J.D. were taking a risk assessment of the area when they encountered what appeared to be a deranged member of the Hive staff. The woman lunged at Rain, biting a chunk out of her hand. J.D. drew his weapon, commanding the woman to stand down. Unaware that this being was now a zombie, he continued to warn her off, but the creature kept advancing. J.D. put a round into her leg, but this didn't stop her. Rain unloaded an entire barrage of ammo into the woman's body, sending her catapulting to the other side of the room. When they went to check on her though, she was gone.

The gunfire caused enough noise that it drew more zombies into the area. The commandos fought hard, but ultimately their luck was fated to run out. J.D. was caught unawares when a door opened up and numerous zombies descended upon him. He shouted for Rain who tried to rescue him, but she was too late.

Later, Rain encountered J.D. again, only this time, he was a zombie. Seeing him as an undead creature stunned her, forcing her to drop her guard, which gave the J.D. zombie the opportunity to bite her upon the throat. She then finished him off with a shot from her sidearm. Rain survived this encounter, but soon after, the virus overtook her.

James Shade[]

James Shade 004

James Shade was an African American male who appeared to be his late thirties or early forties in the early 2000s. He was a member of the Umbrella Security Service division of the Umbrella Corporation, based out of a Raccoon City, and was the leader of a commando unit.

In 2002, the Umbrella Corporation responded to a crisis at their underground research facility, the Hive. One's mission was to deactivate the facility's artificial intelligence, the Red Queen, who had gone "homicidal" and had killed everyone at the laboratory. He was not provided information relating to the true nature of the Red Queen's actions in that it was trying to quarantine a deadly outbreak of the T-Virus.

James Shade and his unit broke into the safe house mansion occupied by fellow security specialists Alice Abernathy and Spence Parks. They found Alice, who had been suffering from amnesia. They also apprehended a man named Matt Addison, who claimed to have worked for the Raccoon City Police Department.

Shade took Alice and Matt with them as they went underground and boarded a train that took them to the Hive. They made their way to the Red Queen Chamber armed with equipment designed to shut down all of its systems. As his crew began setting up their equipment, the Red Queen sealed off each end of a corridor, cutting Shade and his group off from Alice as well as the team's tech specialist, Chad Kaplan and a commando named Rain Ocampo.

Commando Alfonso Warner was the first to take note of the laser defense grid. A horizontal beam traveled down the length of the corridor. James Shade pushed a commando named Vance Drew out of the way, but the laser still managed to cut off his fingers. The team's medic, a Russian woman named Olga Danilova was standing behind them and was decapitated as the beam sliced through her neck. A second beam came down the hall and Alfonso Warner tried jumping to avoid it. The beam changed direction, catching him right in the mid-section, slicing him in half. With only James Shade left standing, he succeeded in jumping up and catching onto some handholds in the ceiling to avoid the next beam. However, on the following attack, the defense system changed its configuration, creating a laser grid that swept the entirety of the corridor. Chad Kaplan managed to deactivate the system, but he was too late as the grid passed through Shade, cutting him into cubits.

Johnny-Wayne Carlson[]

Doctor Brown - Resident Evil

Johnny-Wayne Carlson, also known as Doctor Brown, was a bald, male employee of the Umbrella Corporation who appeared to be in his mid-late thirties. He worked at the top-secret underground facility known as the Hive, where he was a scientist in the facility's viral research department. He worked alongside Doctors Green and Blue in Lab 13. When the T-Virus contagion was released inside the facility, The site's artificial intelligence, the Red Queen, put the entire site on lock down. Sprinkler systems flooded all of the laboratory areas. Doctor Brown pulled down a fire axe and began chopping at the heavy glass doors, but could barely even cut a small chip out of them. Within short order, the entire lab flooded, killing everyone inside. Infected by the T-Virus, Doctor Brown was resurrected as a flesh-eating zombie. When an Umbrella Security Service unit entered the Hive, they temporarily shut down the Red Queen, which disengaged all of the door locks. Doctor Brown exited, apparently breaking his ankle in the process. Still dragging the fire axe behind him, he lumbered down to Dining Hall B, where the U.S.S. commandos were taking stock of the situation. He was one of the first zombie to attack the unit and was also among the first to fall.

Lisa Addison[]

Lisa Addison 001

Lisa Addison was a young woman in her mid-twenties with blonde hair who worked at the Umbrella Corporation. She was the sister of an anti-corporation activist named Matt. Lisa shared her brother's crusade to bring down entities who thought they were above the law, and only joined Umbrella so she could help to expose their more unsavory endeavors.

Lisa was assigned to work at a top-secret underground genetics facility called the Hive just outside Raccoon City. She worked in Section 6, on Level 7. She began conspiring with a security agent named Alice, who promised to aid her in bringing down the company. Alice promised to help her bypass all of the security and surveillance, but it was up to Lisa to steal a sample of the deadly T-Virus contagion. Alice warned her that if they went through with this, it would come at a great cost.

What neither of them realized was that Alice's partner and "husband" Spence Parks had been eavesdropping on their conversation. Taking a cue from Alice's idea, he used his own credentials to sneak into the Hive and steal a sample himself, which he intended to sell on the black market. He then released another sample into the open air, contaminating the entire facility. The T-Virus affected everyone, including Lisa, turning them all into flesh-eating zombies.

When Matt Addison lost contact with Lisa, he came to the Hive in search of her. He met Alice and later discovered that she was Lisa's secret contact. Matt made his way to Lisa's office, but when he encountered her, he saw that she was now one of the undead. Lisa lunged at him, but Alice came up behind her and clubbed her with a sharp paper weight, killing her.

Mail boy[]

The mail boy was an unidentified youth who worked for the Umbrella Corporation. He was a member of the internal staff stationed at the top-secret underground facility known as the Hive. When the deadly T-Virus contagion was released, the site's artificial intelligence, the Red Queen, put the entire facility on lock down. All internal office areas were sealed off as halon gas containing high levels of nitrogen was pumped into each area. The mail boy was but one of many such innocent people who fell victim to the virus, and as a consequence, was resurrected as a flesh-eating zombie.

Mariano Rodriguez[]

Doctor Blue - Resident Evil 002

Mariano Rodriguez, also known as Doctor Blue, was a male employee of the Umbrella Corporation with dark hair. He worked at the top-secret underground facility known as the Hive, where he was a scientist in the facility's viral research department. Rodriguez worked alongside Doctors Anna Bolt and Johnny-Wayne Carlson in Lab 13.

When the T-Virus contagion was released inside the facility, The site's artificial intelligence, the Red Queen, put the entire site on lock down. Sprinkler systems flooded all of the laboratory areas. Doctor Blue tried to pry open the doors to the laboratory, but to no avail. Eventually, the entire laboratory was flooded and all of the staff members drowned. Exposed to the T-Virus, Doctor Blue was likely resurrected as a flesh-eating zombie.

Matt Addison[]

Matt Addison 002

Matt Addison was an anti-corruption activist who focused his attention towards exposing illegal activities within the ranks of corporate America. Driven by great ambition, Addison decided to go after the biggest commercial entity of them all - the Umbrella Corporation. With his history however, Matt knew that he could never hope to infiltrate the company directly. Instead, he turned to his sister, Lisa, who was already working as a researcher at one of Umbrella's top-secret genetics laboratories in Raccoon City, known as the Hive. Matt knew that Lisa had been conspiring with another Umbrella official to bring the company down, but when Matt lost contact with her, he went to investigate.

Posing as an officer for the Raccoon City Police Department, he went to the mansion safe house located above the access tunnels to the Hive. Moments after arriving, the mansion was besieged by members of the Umbrella Security Service, who arrived in response to a contamination crisis taking place at the Hive. The only other person in attendance was a woman named Alice, who was assigned to guard the mansion, but was suffering from memory loss as a side effect of nerve gas pumped through the house by the Hive's artificial intelligence, the Red Queen. The U.S.S. were quick to apprehend Addison, having no idea who he was or why he was there. When they checked his I.D., they could not find any record of him, but Addison claimed that he had just transferred to the R.P.D. and his file likely hadn't been updated yet. Matt was handcuffed and forced to accompany Alice and the rest of the unit into the Hive. Along the way, the discovered another amnesiac staff member, Spence Parks.

When they reached the Hive, the group ventured in the direction of the Red Queen Chamber, which brought them through Dining hall B. This actually turned out to be a storage facility housing the lab's most dangerous Bio Organic Weapon (B.O.W.) specimens. The group quickly discovered that the personnel of the Hive had been infected by the T-Virus, which had turned them into monstrous flesh-eating zombies. A horde of zombies made their way into the dining hall, surrounding the group. As the commandos fought against the undead, Matt picked up the keys to the handcuffs, which had fallen from the belt of a soldier named Rain Ocampo. Scrambling backwards, he tried to simultaneously undo his handcuffs, while also defending himself from attacking zombies. Addison managed to free himself, and get to a safe area in the Hive away from the monsters.

At a time when things had calmed down slightly, Matt confided in Alice, telling her about how her sister had been working with someone within Umbrella to steal a sample of the T-Virus, which they intended to use to expose the company's genetic experiments. Given the abrupt failure of the entire plan, Matt deduced that Lisa might have trusted the wrong person. As Alice's memory began to return, she realized that she was the one whom Lisa was working with. Matt was enraged at first, accusing Alice of betraying his sister. Without all of her memories, she could not determine whether she had planned on betraying her or not.

Later, Matt managed to get access to some of the offices. He found Lisa's desk, but before he could inspect further, his sister, now a zombie, approached him. Matt was momentarily stunned and unable to move as Lisa lunged for him. Fortunately, Alice arrived right on time, and clubbed Lisa across the back of the head with a blunt object, killing her. When it was later revealed that it was actually Alice's faux husband and partner, Spence Parks, who had betrayed Umbrella, Matt realized that Alice was truly working to help Lisa take down the company.

The threat level to the group intensified dramatically, as they not only had the zombies to worry about, but also the Red Queen's defense systems, as well as a mutant creature called a licker. After narrowly evading death at every turn, Alice and Matt managed to secure a case containing the antivirus and board the Alexa-5000 train back to the mansion. While en route, the licker attached itself to the train and swiped its giant claws through the side, lacerating Matt's left arm. Alice succeeded in destroying the licker and they both made it back to the mansion. They were the only survivors of the entire incident.

Alice prepared to administer the antivirus to Matt to heal him from the infected claw marks, but she was too late. The infected tissue had already begun to mutate. At that moment, Umbrella scientists donning Hazmat suits burst into the foyer of the mansion. They took Matt upon a stretcher with instructions to initiate him in the Nemesis Program.

Olga Danilova[]

Olga Danilova 004

Olga Danilova was a Caucasian female in her early-mid twenties who hailed from Russian ancestry. She was a member of the Umbrella Security Service division of the Umbrella Corporation, based out of a Raccoon City, and served as the team medic of a commando sanitation unit.

In 2002, the Umbrella Corporation responded to a crisis at their underground research facility, the Hive. The unit's mission was to deactivate the facility's artificial intelligence, the Red Queen, who had gone "homicidal" and had killed everyone at the laboratory. She was not provided information relating to the true nature of the Red Queen's actions in that it was trying to quarantine a deadly outbreak of the T-Virus.

Resident Evil (2002)/Characters and the rest of the unit broke into the safe house mansion occupied by fellow security specialists Alice Abernathy and Spence Parks. They found Alice, who had been suffering from amnesia. Danilova observed that the A.I. had activated the mansion's primary defense systems, which involved using nerve gas to render all occupants unconscious. A side effect of the nerve gas was temporary memory loss.

The group used the underground train, the Alexi-5000 to take them to the Hive. Once they boarded the train, they opened a compartment where they found the unconscious form of Alice's partner, Spence Parks. Danilova used smelling salts to revive him.

Led by unit commander James Shade, the team made their way to the Red Queen Chamber, which housed the computer mainframe for the A.I. They carried an EMP device designed to incapacitate the computer's systems. As the crew began setting up their equipment, the Red Queen sealed off each ends of a corridor, trapping Danivola as well as Shade and two commandos.

The Red Queen activated a laser defense system that sent a beam traveling down the route of the corridor. Shade pushed one of the commandos down, but the beam cut off his fingers. He shouted for the medic, but as he turned, he saw that the beam had sliced through her neck, decapitating her.

Rain Ocampo[]

Rain Ocampo 002

Rain Ocampo was a Latino woman with dark hair in her early-mid twenties. She worked for the Umbrella Corporation and was a commando in the Umbrella Security Service (U.S.S.). She was part of the division's sanitation unit, which specialized in "sanitizing" contaminated areas.

In September, 2002, Umbrella learned of a crisis taking place at their top-secret underground laboratory research facility, the Hive. The Hive's state of the art artificial intelligence, the Red Queen, had apparently gone "homicidal", killing everyone in the site. Umbrella's decision was to use the U.S.S. to shut down the Red Queen's systems.

They sent a U.S.S. team in led by Commander James Shade. Armed to the teeth and donning gas masks, Rain and the others burst in through the windows of the Arklay Mansion, which was Umbrella's safe house entrance way into the Hive. They immediately found two individuals in the main hall: Alice, who was a security specialist assigned to safeguard the mansion, and Matt Addison, a civilian who claimed to be a member of the Raccoon City Police Department. Without any prior knowledge of who he was, Rain apprehended Addison and handcuffed him. When he complained about her rough treatment of him, she told him, "blow me".

Rain and the team took a secret tunnel down to the Alexi-5000 train, which brought them deep underground to the main Hive facility. On the train, the group found another security agent, Spence Parks.

Once they arrived at the main complex, they made their way towards the Red Queen Chamber. The team brought a device designed to generate an electromagnetic charge, which would temporarily disable the Red Queen's systems. As they came closer to the chamber however, the Red Queen closed off a section of corridor, separating Rain from her unit leader, as well as two commandos and a medic. Along with Alice, Matt Addison and two other commandos named J.D. Salinas and Chad Kaplan, Rain was forced to watch in horror as the Red Queen activated a laser defense grid that sliced her compatriots into cubits.

Once inside the Red Queen chamber, Kaplan and Alice were to assemble the device that shut the A.I. down. They then ventured into an immense room identified on the layout as Dining Hall B. However, this chamber was actually housing stasis pods that contained all of Umbrella's dirty little secrets, including specimens from their Bio Organic Weapons (B.O.W.s) research. With the Red Queen disabled, all of the security codes on the doors had been deactivated.

Rain and J.D. Salinas came upon the first of whom they believed to a member of the laboratory's personnel. A snarling, deranged woman approached them and lunged at Rain, taking a bite out of her hand. J.D. attempted to back the woman away by firing a warning shot into her leg, but when this tactic failed, Rain unloaded a high caliber weapon into the woman's chest, knocking her back several feet. When they went to approach her however, the woman was gone. Alice, Matt and the others came up to them after hearing the gunfire, at which point it became more clear as to what this woman actually was - a zombie. More zombies began crawling out of the dark corners of the dining hall and attacked them en masse. As one of the more experienced combat soldiers at the site, she succeeded in taking down multiple zombies. However, she was unable to save her friend, J.D. Salinas, when a horde of the monsters overwhelmed him. Rain blamed Kaplan for disabling the security locks, which enabled the zombies to gain entrance to the area.

As the survivors continued to make their way through the facility, it became clear to all that Rain's injury was infected and that in a short amount of time, she too would become one of the living dead. She pressed on however, fighting through the pain and anxiety. Rain came upon J.D. Salinas, who was now a zombie. She hesitated just long enough for J.D. to bite her once again, introducing even more of the virus into her already ailing system. Rain was forced to put Salinas down by shooting him in the head.

The group narrowly escaped being killed by more zombies while climbing across some hanging pipes in the utility corridor. A piece of the rigging collapsed, sending Kaplan tumbling down closer to the slavering monsters. Rain tried to shoot them away, but he illness was worsening, affecting her focus, which prevented her from getting a clear shot. Alice, Matt, Spence and she were forced to leave Kaplan behind.

They eventually found their way to Lab 13, where Alice recalled that the research team had developed an antivirus to the contagion. She told Rain that there was a cure and that everything was going to be all right, to which she sarcastically replied, "Good. I was beginning to get worried".

Making their way back to the Red Queen Chamber, they were forced to bring the computer back on line (against Rain's better judgment). At this point, Spence Parks revealed his true motivation, and the group learned that he was the one responsible for the outbreak, and was also the one who possessed the antivirus, though it was still back on the train. Spence left, and the Red Queen sealed the others off in her chamber. Alice beckoned with the computer to let them free, but the Red Queen determined that it would only open the doors if they agreed to kill Rain to keep the virus from spreading. Rain knew her time was up, and she was ready to sacrifice herself for the greater good. Alice refused to kill her however. Fortunately for all of them, Chad Kaplan was still alive. Having made his way back to the chamber, he bypassed the security locks, allowing them to escape.

With Matt and Kaplan helping her along, they made their way back to the train and boarded it. Alice injected Rain with the antivirus, and Rain told her that she did not wish to come back as some soulless monster. Alice however, was confident that the antivirus would cure her. Unfortunately, the infection had been in her system too long and Rain died. She came to as a zombie and lunged at Matt Addison, who had to put her down by shooting her in the head.

Red[]

Mister Red - Resident Evil

Mister Red was a male employee of the Umbrella Corporation with blonde hair who appeared to be in his early thirties. He worked at the top-secret underground facility known as the Hive, though his exact duties at this facility are unknown. This man could not have known that on the morning he showed up for work, a traitorous security agent named Spence Parks had unleashed the deadly T-Virus contagion within the facility.

Mister Red was one of several internal office workers who was trapped inside of Lift Shaft 168 when the site's artificial intelligence, the Red Queen, put the facility on lock down. Mister Red either died when the shaft collapsed or may have died as a result of exposure to the T-Virus and became one of the numerous undead flesh-eaters found stalking the Hive.

Red Queen[]

Red Queen 003

The Red Queen was the central computer system of the Umbrella Corporation and was housed within a special chamber deep inside the company's bio-weapons research facility known as The Hive. The Red Queen had an avatar of a young English girl, which was modeled after the daughter of the head programmer, and it was through this holographic interface that the Red Queen was able to communicate with other members of the company. The Red Queen was also connected to all of the Hive's surveillance systems, which included camera's installed in the above-ground Arklay Mansion base.

A man named Spence Parks, who was an agent of Umbrella, attempted to steal a sample of the T-Virus from the Hive. To cover up the theft, he released an airborne sample into the laboratory. This prompted the Red Queen to put the facility on lock down. Scientists working in the laboratory were sealed in to meet their fates. The Red Queen then released a nerve gas in all other sections of the Hive, rendering any other agents present, including Spence, unconscious. The nerve agent had an additional side effect of producing temporary amnesia in those affected by it.

Later, a woman named Alice, as well as several security agents made their way into the Hive to get to the root of the problem. They came upon the Red Queen chamber where they interfaced directly with the computer's avatar. The Red Queen described the nature of the T-Virus and its ability to reanimate dead cell tissue, which resulted in turning all of the laboratory staff into a horde of zombies. The Red Queen also revealed how injecting the T-Virus directly into living tissue could result in radical abnormal mutation. This produced a hideous creature dubbed a "Licker".

When Alice, Matt Addison and an injured Rain Ocampo confronted the Red Queen in the chamber room, the Red Queen sealed them inside. It refused to give them the key code to escape from the chamber unless they were willing to kill Rain, who had been infected. Fortunately, another solider, Chad Kaplan, who was believed to be dead, unlocked the chamber from the other side, letting them escape.

Taking on a surprising level of independent emotion, the Red Queen confessed to being a "bad girl", when it lured the Licker into the cargo bay where the traitorous Spence Parks had been trying to escape. The Licker attacked Spence, infecting him with the T-Virus.

Spence Parks[]

Spence Parks 002

Spence Parks was a man in his mid-thirties with dark hair. He worked as an agent of the Umbrella Security Service for the Central Security Administration of the Umbrella Corporation and was based out of Raccoon City. As part of the company's public cover, Spence was placed into an fake marriage with another agent named Alice. They were in charge of security of a mansion safe house, which was served as the central access point to a top-secret underground laboratory called the Hive. Although their marriage was a falsified affair, Spence and Alice did become intimate with one another over time.

Spence learned that Alice had been secretly conspiring with a Hive researcher named Lisa Addison to expose Umbrella's more unscrupulous projects as it pertained to viral warfare. Whereas Alice saw treachery, Spence saw opportunity. Using his Umbrella access credentials, he entered Lab 13 of the Hive and stole a sample of the deadly T-Virus, which he intended to sell to the highest bidder on the black market. To cover his tracks, Spence released another sample of the virus into the air, forcing the Hive's artificial intelligence system, the Red Queen, to seal off the infected area, leaving everyone to die. The Red Queen then released nerve gas into the remainder of the facility, rendering everyone else unconscious. A side effect of the nerve gas was temporary amnesia, which both Spence and Alice suffered from.

When Spence revived, an Umbrella commando unit had arrived at the mansion in response to the crisis. Along with Alice, they journeyed by underground train to the depths of the Hive, where they discovered that the T-Virus had turned all of the personnel into reanimated monsters.

The group fought their way through the various levels, killing as many zombies as they could, but most of the commando unit were killed either by the dead, or by the Hive's security measures. As they came to Lab 13, Alice discovered that an antivirus was also created, and it could provide a means of reversing the process. By this point, Spence's memory had returned, and with it, his inherent greed.

Spence was attacked by a zombie and bitten. His only hope of survival was to get his hands on the antivirus. He betrayed Alice and the other survivors, which consisted of an environmentalist named Matt Addison, and two commandos, Rain Ocampo and Chad Kaplan. His snide parting words to his former wife were, "I'm missing you already". He stole the suitcase containing the antivirus, and locked the others inside the Red Queen's chamber. The Red Queen, seeking to contain the contagion at all costs, released a mutant known as a licker and guided it towards the cargo bay, where Spence hoped to escape back to the surface on the train. The licker attacked him before he could administer the antivirus, advancing the rate of infection, ultimately turning him into a zombie.

Alice, Matt, Kaplan and Rain eventually made their way down to the loading bay. When Alice saw zombie-Spence crawling across the floor, she mockingly intoned his earlier comment, "I'm missing you already", and then finished him off with an axe.

Vance Drew[]

Vance Drew

Vance Drew was a Caucasian male who appeared to be in his late twenties or early thirties.

Vance Drew and his unit broke into the safe house mansion occupied by fellow security specialists Alice Abernathy and Spence Parks.

As the crew began setting up their equipment, the Red Queen sealed off each end of a corridor, cutting Drew and the others off from Alice as well as the team's tech specialist, Chad Kaplan.

The Red Queen then activated a laser defense grid. A horizontal beam traveled down the length of the corridor. United commander James Shade pushed Vance Drew out of the way, but the laser still managed to cut off his fingers. He was then dismembered by a another lattice of lasers that swept down the corridor.

White[]

Mister White - Resident Evil

Mister White was a male employee of the Umbrella Corporation with brown hair who appeared to be in his late twenties. He worked at the top-secret underground facility known as the Hive, though his exact duties at this facility are unknown. When the deadly T-Virus contagion was released, the site's artificial intelligence, the Red Queen, put the entire facility on lock down. All internal office areas were sealed off as halon gas containing high levels of nitrogen was pumped into each area. Mister White was standing next to Lisa Addison when the gas began filling the room. White died, and was thus exposed to the T-Virus, which resurrected him as a flesh-eating zombie.
