Leslie Norman was a British film director associated with Hammer Film Productions. His only work in the horror genre was the 1956 science fiction film X the Unknown. Originally, X the Unknown was to be directed by Joseph Walton (real name Joseph Losey). However, actor Dean Jagger refused to work with Walton, believing him to be a communist sympathizer. Walton was eventually replaced with Leslie Norman. Illness was cited as Walton's official reason for leaving the production. [1][2]

Leslie Norman passed away from heart failure in London, England on February 18th, 1993. [3]
