Biography
Laura Collins was a member of the prestigious Collins family of Collinsport, Maine in the year 1810. She lived at the lavish Collinwood estate with her husband, Charles Collins. Laura and Charles had an unhappy marriage, as Charles held greater devotion for his brother's wife, Angelique.
Shortly after Angelique's tragic death, Laura Collins' body was discovered drowned in a nearby lake. Although nobody could prove that her death was anything other than an accident, rumors persisted that her husband, Charles, may have in fact murdered her.
