Biography[]

Lachlan Drake grew up around the fashion industry due to the business work of his wealthy father, fashion mogul Will Drake. According to Lachlan, he has seen "millions" of runway shows, which have all since ceased to impress him.

When Will Drake purchased the Hotel Cortez in Los Angeles, Lachlan moved out to California with his father to take up residence at the hotel. Lachlan met one of the hotel's most notable fixtures, a woman who called herself The Countess. The Countess, who always nursed an affection for children, took Lachlan aside and assured him that they were going to be good friends.

The Countess showed Lachlan a secret wall that opened up into a room where several blonde-haired vampire children resided playing vintage 1980s video games on large-screen televisions. This gave Lachlan something to do to entertain himself while his father conducted business. At the time, he was unaware of the peculiar nature of both the Countess and the children living in the hotel. (AHS: Checking In)

When Will Drake hosted a fashion show at the Hotel Cortez, Lachlan bonded with a young girl close to his age named Scarlett Lowe. (AHS: Chutes and Ladders)
