John Thompson Gulager is an American film director and actor born in New York City, New York on December 19th, 1957. In 2005, he was selected as a competitor in season three of Project: Greenlight where he helmed his first feature film Feast. Due to the backing of Miramax Films and marketing via Project: Greenlight, Feast became an exceptionally popular horror movie, spawning two direct-to-video sequels, both of which were directed by Gulager. In 2008, Gulager made a brief cameo appearance as a man on a bridge in the film Pulse 2: Afterlife. In 2011, he was tapped to helm the sequel to 2010's 3D remake of Piranha entitled Piranha 3DD.
