John G. Jones is an American author and film producer. He wrote the first four sequels of the Amityville Horror series of novels, which continued the story of the Lutz family, but otherwise had no real connection to the film series. Jones served as co-producer on both films as well as the 1993 movie Amityville: A New Generation.

In 1995, John G. Jones was co-writer, along with Victoria Parker, of the horror movie The Darkening, also known as Black Gate. John also served as executive producer on the film.
