- The dual characters of Henry Jekyll and Edward Hyde were created by author Robert Louis Stevenson. Jekyll was the central protagonist of Stevenson's 1886 novella Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde, whereas his alter ego, Mister Hyde, served as the story's main antagonist. The story has been adapted many times over.
- This is the final episode of the series.
- This is the third and final episode of Jekyll directed by Matt Lipsey. He is also known for directing six episodes of the British anthology series Dr. Terrible's House of Horrible.
- This is the sixth and final episode of Jekyll written by Steven Moffat.
