James "Jim" Storm is an American television actor born in Highland Park, Illinois on August 12th, 1943. Known primarily for his work on soap operas, Jim's career began in the early 1960s, but has spread out into the world of television movies throughout the 1990s and 2000s. As of the late 2000s, Jim was living in Hollywood, California.
Career[]
Jim's first credited television work was playing the second Larry Wolek on an episode of the daytime soap opera One Life to Life. His first major television work came in 1970 when he played the evil Gerard Stiles on the Gothic supernatural soap Dark Shadows. In certain storylines, James also played the ghost of Gerard Stiles. He appeared in 79 episodes of the series overall over a two-year period. Storm reprised the role of Gerard Stiles (albeit with a different background) for the 1971 feature film Night of Dark Shadows.
In 1974, James Storm played a character named Boy in the television werewolf film Scream of the Wolf starring Peter Graves. In 1975 he played Eddie Nells in Trilogy of Terror. He also appeared in the TV movie Ants in 1977, which is also known by the title It Happened at Lakewood Manor. The film was directed by Robert Scheerer and James had a bit role in the movie as an attendant.
James continued to make sporadic appearances in low-budget horror fare in the early 2000s. In 2001 he appeared in the Fred Olen Ray mutant snake film Venomous starring Treat Williams. Storm played the role of Sheriff Jack Crowley. In 2007 he appeared in Pablo Proenza's Dark Mirror playing a man named Frank. That same year he played Dick Krantz in the Jim Wynorski movie Bone Eater.
