James Paradise is a film and television actor. His first work in supernatural fiction is playing Buffy's dad in the 1992 horror/comedy Buffy the Vampire Slayer. His character was re-imagined as Hank Summers in the Buffy the Vampire Slayer television series, where he was played by Dean Butler. James Paradise also played a policeman in the second vignette in the 1993 horror anthology movie Necronomicon: Book of the Dead.
