James D. Parriott is a television producer, screenwriter and series creator. He is best known for co-creating the 1990s vampire drama Forever Knight along with Barney Cohen. He was credited as executive producer on all seventy episodes of the series. In 1989, he co-wrote the screenplay for the telemovie Nick Knight, which later became the basis for Forever Knight. Parriott also co-wrote the scripts for the two-part series pilot, "Dark Knight" and "Dark Knight, the Second Chapter". For season three, he co-wrote the two-part premiere episode, "Black Buddha", parts one and two.
