Overview[]
Biography[]
James Blair was an investment banker from New York. He became associated with Burke Devlin, who had launched a scheme to financially destroy the Collins family. Blair met with Devlin at the Bangor Pine Hotel to discuss the Collins family holdings. Blair told Devlin that the family manor, Collinwood, was too much of a liability to be mortgaged and as such its property tax was reduced. [1]
Notes & Trivia[]
- The character of James Blair was created by director John Sedwick and writer Francis Swann based on concepts developed by Dan Curtis and series story developer Art Wallace.
- James Blair was an associate of Stuart Bronson, and took over Bronson's work with Burke Devlin. This was done because original actor Barnard Hughes was unavailable to continue playing the character. Rather than re-cast the role, they created the character of James Blair to replace him.
- James Blair has no familial connection to Nicholas Blair or Cassandra Blair. Cassandra's name was actually an alias used by Angelique. Nicholas Blair may have used an alias as well.
