Ivan F. Simpson was a Scottish film actor. He was born in Glasgow, Scotland on February 4th, 1875. His career began in the early years of the silent film era and continued on through the early 1950s up until the time of his death. Ivan F. Simpson played the role of Mister White in the 1933 film adaptation of The Monkey's Paw. In 1935, he played a character named Jan in Mark of the Vampire. Ivan played Anne's protector in the 1939Universal Pictures historical drama, Tower of London. He then went on to portray butler Mister Cotton in the 1940 sci-fi/horror film The Invisible Man Returns. This was his only work in the science fiction genre. Simpson's final work in the horror genre was in 1944 when he played a tobacconist named Will Hardy in The Uninvited. He was uncredited for his participation in this film. Ivan F. Simpson passed away in New York City, New York on October 12th, 1951 at the age of 76.
