Hazel Shermet is an American actress born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on August 1st, 1921. She appeared in numerous television sitcoms during the 1960s and 70s including the "Morticia, the Matchmaker" episode of The Addams Family where she played Melancholia Frump - cousin to Morticia Addams. She also played a character named Mrs. Knockwurst in the 1979 vampire comedy Love at First Bite. She was a woman in an elevator seen with Richard Benjamin's character Doctor Jeffrey Rosenberg.

  • Hazel's first professional work was an uncredited appearance on Dragnet as a receptionist.
  • Hazel Shermet has also appeared in episodes of The Beverly Hillbillies, Mister Ed, I Dream of Jeannie and New Zoo Revue, where she provided the voice for Henrietta Hippo.
