Gordon Russell was an American television writer born in Salem, Massachusetts on August 15th, 1929. He was one of the provincial series writers on the 1966 gothic soap opera Dark Shadows. Russell wrote a total of 371 episodes of the series as well as the 1970 film House of Dark Shadows. Russell passed away from cancer in New York City on January 19th, 1981.
