In 2003, Gina Torres added herself to the ranks of "Big Bads" that have cropped up throughout the Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Angel television projects. She appeared in five episodes of Angel towards the end of season four, though the introduction of her character had been foreshadowed in previous episodes. Torres played a character named Jasmine, who was an elder deific being reborn in human form via Cordelia Chase and half-demon/all-douchebag son Angel, Connor.
