Fritz Kiersch is an American film and television director and screenwriter. He was born in Alpine, Texas on July 23rd, 1951. Fritz' first work in the horror genre was adapting Stephen King's 1977 short story Children of the Corn into a feature film in 1984. In 1990 he directed two episodes from season one of the live-action The Swamp Thing television series. He directed the pilot episode, "The Emerald Heart" as well as the episode entitled "Falco". In 2006 he directed the film The Hunt.
