Fred Walton is a horror film director and screenwriter. He is best known for writing and directing the 1979 psycho-thriller When a Stranger Calls. In 1986, he directed the campy slasher movie April Fool's Day. In 1988, he directed I Saw What You Did, a remake of the 1965 film directed by William Castle. In 1993, he directed the less-popular sequel to When a Stranger Calls, entitled When a Stranger Calls Back.
