Egyptian
Of, or relating to the people, language and culture of the country of Egypt. In horror fiction, this mostly applies to the lore of Ancient Egypt, which is rife with mystery concerning curses, tombs, decadence and not the least of which - mummies. The written language of Ancient Egypt was transcribed through hieroglyphs, while the spoken language of Egypt was Coptic up until the late 17th century. Coptic was eventually replaced Egyptian-Arabic following the Muslim conquest of Egypt.
