Ed Wood is an American film and a biographical comedic drama of the life of Edward D. Wood, Jr. - a movie director of the 1950s known for helming poorly conceived, and extremely awful science fiction and horror fare. The movie was directed by Tim Burton and based on the book, Nightmare of Ecstasy, written by Rudolph Grey. The screenplay was written by Scott Alexander and Larry Karaszewski. The movie was produced by Touchstone Pictures and stars Johnny Depp, Martin Landau, Sarah Jessica Parker, Patricia Arquette, Jeffrey Jones, G.D. Spradlin, Vincent D'Onofrio and Bill Murray.
