Duane Jones was an American actor born in New York City on April 11th, 1937. He is best known for playing the role of Ben, a key protagonist in the original 1968 version of Night of the Living Dead. In 1986, he played a character named Charles Harmon in the film Vampires. Footage from Jones' scenes were later edited into the 1989 movie Fright House. Duane Jones passed away from a cardiopulmonary arrest at the age of 52 on July 22nd, 1988.
