David William Heneker was a British film composer born in Southsea, Hampshire, England on March 31st, 1906. Along with Monty Norman, he composed the musical score for the 1960 horror film The Two Faces of Dr. Jekyll for Hammer Film Productions. Heneker's more notable works include Irma la Douce in 1963 and Half a Sixpence in 1967 for which he wrote the songs "The Race" and "This Is My World". Heneker passed away in Cardigan, Wales on January 30th, 2001 at the age of 90.
