Chugs is the nickname of a fictional character featured in the 2009 slasher film Sorority Row. She is played by actress Margo Harshman. Chugs is presented as a member of the Theta Pi sorority at Rosman College in Pennsylvania and is known for her low inhibitions and party-girl lifestyle. She is one of several key characters who are involved in the accidental death of a fellow sorority sister named Megan.

Biography[]

"Chugs", actual name unknown, was a senior at Rosman University and a member of the Theta Pi sorority. As part of a prank, she convinced her brother Garrett slip his girlfriend Megan some roofies so that he could have non-consensual sex with her. Megan was in on the prank, and she actually swallowed some b12 vitamins. She then faked going into a seizure, and Garrett and the other girls, pretending to panic, drove off with her, as if they were taking her to a hospital. Megan "died" en route, so the group pulled over and decided to deposit the body in an old mine shaft. When Garrett's back was turned, Megan - very much alive - began recording the episode on her mobile device. One of the group, Ellie Morris, informed them that a body will float to the surface if the lungs are full. Garrett took action and used a tire iron to stab through Megan's lungs to release the air. This ended up killing Megan for real, and the Theta Pi girls dumped her body into the cistern.

Eight months later, Chugs and her friends were preparing to graduate from college. A mysterious figure in a black hood began targeting all of the people involved in Megan's death.

Unaware that this was taking place, Chugs paid a visit to her psychiatrist Doctor Rosenberg in the hopes of getting some free meds. The psychiatrist promised her the medicine she coveted in exchange for sexual favors. This exchange never actually took place, however. The killer entered the psychiatrist's office and killed him using a cross bar tire iron outfitted with blades on the end. Afterward, he killed Chugs by violently shoving a wine bottle into her throat.
