Carmen Filpi was an American actor born on March 23rd, 1923. His earliest known professional work was playing a rioter on the "Strike a Statue" episode of Naked City in 1962. His firs work in the horror genre was an obscure 1974 film by John Hayes called Garden of the Dead. Carmen's role in the film is unknown. Filpi's next genre work was the 1987 TV movie, The Bates Motel as a character named Buddy. The Bates Motel, only tangentially tied to the more popular Psycho series, was intended as a television pilot for an anthology series that never took off. In 1988, Carmen played looney doomsayer Reverend Jackson P. Sayer in Halloween 4: The Return of Michael Myers. In 1991, Carmen played a wino named Henry in Alligator II: The Mutation.
Carmen Filpi passed away on May 9th, 2003 in Los Angeles, California at the age of 80. His final film work, released posthumously was the 2004 comedy Back by Midnight starring Rodney Dangerfield, Dennis Quaid and Kirstie Alley.

- Carmen Filpi also appeared in the 1981 sci-fi film Escape from New York, directed by Halloween director John Carpenter.
- Carmen Filpi also played a crusty old man in 1994's Ed Wood starring Johnny Depp. The film was a biographical piece on Edward D. Wood, Jr., the world's "worst" movie director.
