"Beneath You" is the second episode of season seven of the supernatural/action series Buffy the Vampire Slayer and the 124th episode of the series overall. It was directed by David Solomon and written by Joss Whedon. It first aired on UPN on October 1st, 2002. In this episode, Willow and Giles leave Sunnydale for England so Gile can help Willow through her mystic recovery. Buffy Summers gives her sister a crash course on vampire slaying by taking her out to a cemetery. She then gets a job as a counselor at Sunnydale High School and meets it's new principal, Robin Wood. Spike has returned to Sunnydale, but his newly restored soul has driven him completely insane. He is haunted by images of previous adversaries who taunt and torment him.
