|Aliases|| Brian H. Clemens|
|Place of birth||Croyden, Surrey, England|
|Date of birth||1931|
|Date of death|
|First appearance||The Tell-Tale Heart (1960)|
Brian's first work in the horror genre was adapting Edgar Allan Poe's The Tell-Tale Heart in 1960. He collaborated with Eldon Howard on the script and went to great lengths to expand Poe's original story. In 1965, Brian co-wrote the screenplay for the obscure Galaworldfilm Productions movie Curse of the Voodoo (re-released on home video as Voodoo Blood Death). On this film, he worked with fellow screenwriter Leigh Vance. For this film, Brian was credited under the name Tony O'Grady.
In 1974, Brian Clemens directed his sole feature film, Captain Kronos: Vampire Hunter, also for Hammer Film Productions. He also wrote the screenplay and co-produced the film. Clemens originally intended the movie to be the first in a series of films, but these plans were scrapped to poor returns at the box office.
In addition to his work in the horror genre, Brian has also worked on various popular television shows in the UK ranging from Thriller, The Avengers, Wide World Mystery and even the US TV series Remington Steele.
