Bloody Murder is an American horror film of the slasher subgenre. It was directed by Ralph E. Portillo and written by John R. Stevenson. It released direct-to-video by Artisan Entertainment and Mainline Releasing on September 12th, 2000. Bloody Murder stars Jessica Morris, Peter Guillemette, Patrick Cavanaugh, Cristelle Ford, Justin Ross Martin and Tracy Pacheco. The film is notable for it's unabashed attempt to capture the stylistic trademarks of classic slasher tropes, in particular, the hockey-masked wearing icon Jason Voorhees of the Friday the 13th franchise.
