Bernard Schubert was a film and television producer and writer. He was born in Brooklyn, New York City, New York on January 1st, 1895. Bernard Schubert passed away in Los Angeles, California on August 4th, 1988 at the age of 93.

Career Edit

Bernard's first work in the horror genre was co-writing the screenplay for the 1944 adventure film Jungle Woman along with Edward Dein, which was based on a story treatment by Henry Sucher.

The same year that Jungle Woman was released, Bernard adapted the screenplay for Leon Abrams' story for The Mummy's Curse. Both films were released through Universal Pictures.

In 1945, Bernard co-wrote the screenplay for the Harold Young mystery thriller The Frozen Ghost along with Luci Ward. The script was based on an original story by Harrison Carter and Henry Sucher. The Frozen Ghost starred several of the same actors from Jungle Woman including Evelyn Ankers, Milburn Stone and Douglass Dumbrille.
